What we collect
When you send a repair request or buy a machine:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your address, if you ship a machine to us or ask for a shipped return
- a description of your machine and its problem
- your choices on the request form (spending cap, what to do if it can't be repaired, contract language)
- whether you agree to receive occasional emails, and whether we may publish photos of your machine
During the repair we also keep photos of your machine, the estimate, the invoice and the repair report.
Why
Only to handle your repair or purchase: to contact you, give you an estimate, return your machine, honour the warranty, and keep the tax records the law requires. We don't sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.
We send newsletters or promotions only if you ticked the consent box, and you can stop them at any time by replying to any email.
Photos of your machine
With your permission (a separate checkbox on the form), we may publish before-and-after photos of your machine on this site and on social media. We never publish your name, address or any detail that identifies you, and we remove location data from photos before publishing them.
Where it's kept
- Requests sent from this website are stored by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, whose servers may be outside Québec, and are deleted from there within 60 days. We copy them into our own records when we accept the job.
- Our job records are kept on a password-protected computer at the workshop. Signed paper forms are kept locked away.
How long
- Your personal details are deleted 1 year after your warranty ends.
- Invoices and job records are kept for 6 years for tax purposes, without your personal details once that first year has passed, except where tax law requires them.
Cookies
This site doesn't use tracking cookies or analytics. It only remembers your language choice in your own browser.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to [EMAIL]. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
If information about you is ever lost or exposed in a way that could cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the Commission d'accès à l'information.
